  • Finding your "why"
  • Setting up your campaign
  • Connecting with the experts

Week 2: Who

  • How to connect with officials, party, advocacy groups
  • Identifying community leaders and becoming allies
  • Where and how to seek endorsements
  • Researching your opponents

Week 3: Where & When

  • How to create a district profile and elected body profile
  • Reviewing demographic data and how to develop a "win" number
  • Where to connect with your voters / community / like-minded advocates
  • Timing of various elections and when to announce

Week 4: What - The Message

  • Message creation and authenticity
  • Getting the word out
  • Responding to opponents & advocacy groups 

Week 5: How - Finances & Fundraising

  • Financial needs (coordinated campaign information, staff, 1099s, filing fees, etc.)
  • Fundraising
  • PACs,  IEs, and other possible funding
  • Budget
  • Reporting
